Paris day #6 + suggestions

La prima tappa del sabato è stato il Museo dell'Orangerie, che ospita la collezione Walter-Guillaume di arte impressionista. Il museo infatti custodisce alcune grandi tele di Claude Monet rappresentanti le ninfee e di molti capolavori di Pierre-Auguste Renoir (adoro!), oltre che opere di Paul Cézanne, Henri Matisse, Amedeo Modigliani, Pablo Picasso, Henri Rousseau, Alfred Sisley, Maurice Utrillo.
Abbiamo poi visitato Madeline e la chiesa di Saint-Augustine per poi spostarci all'Opéra, splendida negli interni sfarzosi, soprattutto i soffitti, in cui abbiamo potuto ammirare anche alcuni abiti di scena.
The first stop of Saturday have been the Orangerie Museum, which lodges the Wakter-Guillame collection of impressionist art. Indeed, the museum takes care of some big canvases by Claude Monet representing water-lilies and of some masterpieces by Pierre-Auguste Renoir (adore him!), as weel as paintings by Paul Cézanne, Henri Matisse, Amedeo Modigliani, Pablo Picasso, Henri Rousseau, Alfred Sisley, Maurice Utrillo.
Then, we visited the Madeline and the Saint-Augustine church and later we moved to the Opéra, with an outstanding interior, especially the ceilings, where we could also see some stage costumes.
Di seguito, abbiamo deciso di recarci al museo Pompidou, centro di arte moderna e contemporanea. Al suo interno ho adorato i colori brillanti di Wassily Kandinsky e la visione del mondo distorta di Picasso, mentre ammetto di aver saltato il piano inferiore pieno di opere contemporanee che in linea di massima non sono di mio gusto.
Oltre alla struttura dell'edificio, è da notare la piazza all'esterno, che ospita artisti di strada provenienti da tutto il mondo, tra la splendida Fontana Beaubourg costruita da Jean Tinguely e Niki de Saint Phalle e la chiesa Saint-Merri, di cui mi ha colpita profondamente l'atmosfera. Abbiamo concluso la giornata facendo shopping nei negozio vintage fino ad arrivare al monumento della Bastiglia.
Vi consiglio vivamente il giro nel quartiere Les Marais, dove non potrete non entrare nei due Freep'n'star per i vostri acquisti e nel Vintage Bar per rifarvi gli occhi ;)
Afterwards, we decided to go to the Pompidou Museum, centre of modern and contemporary art. Inside I loved the brilliant colours of Wassily Kandinsky's paintings and the distorted view of the world of Picasso, while I have to admit that I didn't visit the lower floor full of contemporary pieces of art which I usually don't really like.
Besides the building, the square on the outside, where you can find worldwide street artists, is noteworthy. It is between the splendid Beauburg Fountain built by Jean Tinguely e Niki de Saint Phalle and the Saint-Merri Church, of which I loved the atmosphere. We ended the day going shopping in some vintage shops up to arrive nearby the Bastille Monument.
I heartly suggest you a tour into the Les Marais quarter, where you can't miss Freep'n'star for your purchases and into the Vintage Bar to have a sight for sore eyes ;)

Awww great Paris trip! I read from one of the local fashion bloggers here too that when you go to Paris and take pictures of the paintings, include the frame haha. Otherwise, it might look like you just got it from the net. :)

EliminaMi piace dilettarmi nel fare le unghie (come puoi vedere nel mio post My nails!), ma non compro il fornello per farle gel perché durante l'anno non posso tenerle per via del karate! Infatti le ho tenute per tutto il mese di agosto, in cui non avevo allenamenti.
Magari in futuro.. ;)
